Bottom line

The Nike Air Max 2016 was trusted by many runners with neutral gaits and under-pronated foot motion. For them, the mid-sole supported their feet and gave adequate cushioning. They were able to run comfortably using this product. The upper also received great reviews because of the smoothness of the coverage. But it wasn’t very endearing to a number of testers. They stated that it wasn’t a great investment because the Air Max platform burst on them, as if it was made from cheap materials.

The ultra-sized cushioning is the perfect complement to a spacious fit that does not feel sloppy by any means. With just the right kind of snugness in the heel and midfoot, runners will feel secure and stable during running. The adequate toe room accommodates a wide variety of runners. Nike relives the fit of the prior version in the Air Max 2016. The standard widths of D for the men’s and B for the women’s are available. Sizing is on the spot with options between 6 to 15 for the men’s and 5 to 12 for the women’s.

Dell Venue Pro 8! Is it Best?

Sat next to Apple's 7.9-inch tablet or the Nexus 7, the Venue Pro 8 doesn't exactly break the design mould for a small tablet. But when you compare it to other 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablets, it's by far the best-looking and nicest to hold in the hand.

The front looks like your run of the mill Android tablet with a black bezel that narrows down the sides of the 8-inch display. When you flip it over, the soft plastic back with raised concentric circles gives it a Nexus 7-feel and provides greater friction than the flat smooth surfaces on the Encore and the W4 tablets. It does have a habit of trapping fluff, but we think this gives the Venue Pro 8 something a bit different compared to other portable Windows tablets.

At just 9mm thick, it’s not as chunky as the Encore either and other rival 8-inch Windows 8.1 slates. It weighs just 395g, making it heavier than the iPad mini 2 Retina Wi-Fi (331g), but it’s more than comfortable to use one-handed and gives it a profile well suited to using in two hands.

Everything from the chrome buttons to the unibody design is well constructed and fills us with enough confidence that it's able to withstand the rigours of daily use. For £250, we are happy with what Dell has served up here.

Looking around the tablet you’ll find the 5-megapixel main camera on the back and front-facing camera in the top right on the bezel. Down the right edge of the you’ll find the MicroSD card slot concealed by a latch. If you opt for the 3G/Wi-Fi version, the micro SIM slot will also be hidden away here. Further up is the chrome-style volume rocker and on/off button.

The microUSB charging port also doubles as a USB host and means you can connect other peripherals, although you'll need to invest in OTG cable. There’s no HDMI so hooking it up to a TV has to be done wirelessly over Miracast and will of course mean you need a compatible TV.

On the top edge is the headphone/mic port and bizarrely the Windows Home button. Most other tablets include this at the bottom of tablet and whether this is Dell’s way of trying to be different or genuinely believing that it’s better positioned, our numerous times spent hitting it thinking it was the on/off button suggests it was a bad move. The Dell Venue Pro 8 features an 8-inch 1,280 x 800 pixel IPS touchscreen display with a widescreen aspect ratio that effectively matches Toshiba Encore and the original Nexus 7. In comparison to the Nexus 7 2 and the Kindle Fire HDX 7 though, the cheaper Android tablets offer more pixels and more impressive resolution. That’s not to say that the screen is terrible. For everyday tasks like watching video and reading web pages it’s perfectly acceptable. You don't get the full HD treatment. although the screen is nice and sharp and colours are slightly more punchy than the Encore. Viewing angles are good thanks to the IPS display technology, though it suffers like most other tablets with some reflection in bright outdoors. Our only real issue is that the auto brightness out of the box is set very low, so we would suggest jumping into the settings and disabling the auto-brightness otherwise you are going to find it a very unsatisfying experience. In terms of screen responsiveness, the Venue Pro 8’s display supports 10-point multitouch and shows little signs of struggle registering swipes, selecting apps or pinching and zooming your way through a web page where the font is a little on the small side. The tablet does also support its own digitiser stylus that Dell is calling the 'Active' pen. Unfortunately, once again, this needs to be purchased separately and we didn’t have one to try doodling with. The speaker on the bottom of the edge of the tablet is certainly nice and loud, just don’t expect booming, rich audio to fill your ears. The louder it gets the more noticeable the distortion becomes. It’s more than suitable for watching films and gaming but it's underwhelming for blasting out Spotify playlists.

Buying the best PC for you There was once a time when the term 'PC' was straightforward and simple. Nowadays, though, there are three key sub-divisions that you should be aware of before you go out to buy a new computer. There's the all-in-one, the mini-all-in-one and the desktop (also known as 'tower'). This guide will help you decide which is best for your needs, and what to expect from each.

All-in-one PCs This is the most common PC we review, often written simply as 'AIO'. The workings of the PC itself live inside the slim monitor. AIOs are great for saving space (and money). Fewer cables means they're nice and tidy, need only one plug socket and require very little set-up. There's also a huge range of them, from the most impressive and expensive Apple iMac to the most bare-bones, budget Windows machine.

Mini all-in-one The term 'mini all-in-one' is actually slightly misleading. You may also see it referred to as a 'miniature desktop', as that is essentially what it is. While all-in-ones have a screen built into their main body, mini all-in-ones do not. Instead, their emphasis is on packing a capable, fully featured PC into as small a body as possible. Even Apple does it, with the popular Mac Mini. Usually cheaper and, of course, smaller than their AIO big brothers, they're not without their flaws. For one, you'll need to buy a monitor, keyboard and mouse separately to accompany your new mini all-in-one, which can often end up raising the price over that of a regular AIO. Desktop/tower PC The desktop PC may be old-fashioned, but it's still popular. These days, most of the desktop PC market is comprised of either high-spending, technically knowledgeable power users, or businesses buying them en-masse to equip whole offices. But there's little reason for you to buy one instead of an AIO or a mini all-in-one, which take up less space and can be good value. Desktops are bigger and more expensive than mini all-in-ones while offering little extra functionality, and, unlike AIOs, you need to buy a separate monitor. PC storage space Storage capacity, measured in gigabytes (GB) or terabytes (TB, equal to 1,000GB) determines how much data your PC can hold. Documents, photos, music, movies, programs – they all take up space on your hard drive. Bigger is usually better, although solid-state drives (SSDs) are usually more expensive than conventional hard drives, and offer considerably less space – on the other hand, they load more quickly and are completely silent.

GOOGLE PIXEL! What a Smart Phone.

The Google Pixel is a landmark device, signalling the first proper foray into phones by the search engine giant. And boy, has it done a good job.You have to pay a premium for these features – this certainly isn’t a Nexus-priced device – but it’s far from the first phone to cost a pretty penny. And when it’s this good, it’s worth paying that bit extra.

The body is made from metal and glass – pretty much a given these days – and it tapers down ever so slightly on the rear to help avoid any unnecessary camera bumps. A circular fingerprint sensor sits below the camera sensor, and both are encased in a divisive glass panel that runs about a third of the way down the back. Some in the TrustedReviews' office hate it, but I think it adds some flair, catching the light nicely. It is a fingerprint magnet and scratches very easily, however.

Unlike Apple, Google includes a 3.5mm headphone jack – but I’d have preferred for it to have been placed at the bottom rather than the top of the phone. In addition, Google has used a wide bezel above and below the screen – just like the iPhone. It would have been good to see this space used for a pair of front-facing speakers – maybe this will come with the Pixel 2.

The sides are heavily chamfered, and this helps the device to fit comfortably in your hand. This is one of the easiest phones to hold, helped by the fact it isn’t overly thin.

It’s also completely usable in one hand, something that can’t be said for the larger Pixel XL. It’s roughly the same size as an iPhone 7, just a little taller and marginally thicker.

5-inch displays are becoming a rarity in the Android space, but for many they provide the perfect mix of portability and size. However, the problem – aside from the dearth of choice – is that smaller phones tend to be hamstrung by weak components and a lack of features.

Thankfully, this isn’t the case here. This is a 5-inch display phone with the innards of a larger device – and that’s great news.

The Pixel's display is fantastic, comfortably one of the best at this size. It’s an AMOLED panel – the same tech Samsung uses on its Galaxy series – with a 1080p resolution. This isn't as high as the larger Pixel XL and its quad-HD panel, but due to its smaller size you really won’t notice the difference.

It’s pin-sharp with zero jagged edges around icons when you’re looking at it from a normal distance. Get right up close, with your eye almost touching the screen, and you might notice a tiny bit of pixellation around the battery icons and on-screen buttons. Realistically, though, you won't be using the phone from such a distance.

The Best Smart Phone ! I have ever seen! iPhone 7 Plus.

The iPhone 7 measures 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm. That really is massive. This is down to the large bezels around the 5.5-inch screen. But hey, at least the iPhone 7 Plus doesn't explode, right? The iPhone 7 looks overly familiar, and tired as a result. The antenna lines are now less prominent - instead of dissecting the rear panel, the lines now flow around the edge.

They're almost non-existent on the Jet Black model. The camera lens still protrudes from the rear casing, but the aluminium is moulded around it. This makes it appear more organic and harmonious with the rest of the phone, less like an afterthought. On the bottom of the iPhone, there's no headphone jack (but you already knew that, didn't you?). Instead, it's been replaced by a faux speaker grill - for symmetry, we're guessing. It is worth noting that the iPhone 7 Plus now feature stereo speakers for music and audio - one on the top of the screen and one underneath. They're both certainly very loud, big improvements over previous iPhones, but lack bass forproper music listening. They do create a pleasingly wide soundstage. It's been a long time coming, but the iPhone 7 Plus is finally water resistant. Officially rated at IP67, that means it should survive in 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Obviously, Apple is catching up here, but it's great to see an iPhone officially certified. And finally on design - there are new colours available. The iPhone 7 Plus now comes in Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Black and Jet Black. Jet Black is really shiny, it also looks really easy to scratch, but we can't verify that.

That's a big bonus, as 16GB was simply not enough. Did the battery also manage last a magical three days? Unfortunately not. One of the benefits to owning such a large smartphone is that there's more space for a larger battery. The iPhone 7 Plus features a 2,900 mAh unit. Apple claims the iPhone 7 Plus will last an extra one hours over the iPhone 6S Plus. iOS 10 is a great software update, it's simple, it's slick, key apps such as iMessage, usic and Photos have received an overhaul. We're finding it a pleasure to use. Apple has put a brand new dual camera in the iPhone 7 Plus. The system uses two 12-megapixel sensors, one with a wide-angle 28mm f/1.8 lens, the other a telephoto 56mm f/2.8 lens. Both feature optical image stabilisation. There are several reasons for this. The most important is that it allows for true, optical, 2x optical zoom (rather than digital zoom, which should never be used). We found ourselves using 2x zoom quite often, with mostly pleasing results. Although, it would appear that images taken with the wide angle lens are sharper.
